Andrew Garfield Says There's No Competition With Rob

It's been a busy time for actor Andrew Garfield. In addition to getting glowing reviews for his role as one of the co-founders of Facebook in The Social Network, he's also set to star as the new Spider-Man. But that doesn't mean he forgets who his real friends are:
He tells Britain's ShortList magazine, "I don't see it that way (as a competition). Rob's a friend of mine and I care about him a lot. We're very supportive of each other."

Flashback to 2008.. enjoy!

  1. Well, I'm glad he didn't get the part... I LOVE Rob, but spiderman is not a good rol for him...

He needs to be recognized as something more than the typical hero...
And going from one saga to another, is not going to help.

  2. I can't believe Rob wanted to be Spiderman...Uh-oh, imagine him in that blue panty hose, outside with the red panties. Oh, no...and fly streched arm in the sky. No way. Maybe in a parody? No, no, no !!!
    Hugs all fans!

  3. I wonder how many more of his friends will win roles just because they are his friends. Doesn't seem to go that way for women though does it? hmmmmjust sayin. seems awfully lucky that this Andrew Garfield gets a couple of spicey roles like these and we've not heard of him before...but then again as a friend of Robs he's most likely a good actor...Rob has proven that he hangs with talent not wanna bes so only time will tell.

  4. I can't imagine Rob actually wanted the role, he may have been offered the part, but I would think he would have turned it down, saying himself that he can't see himself in action roles. Although I am hearing real good things about Andrew even possibly an oscar nod for the Social Network. Rob is in good company and I think each role he selects will bring out more of his acting talent as well as being surrounded by very good actors.

  7. to 12:26, are you serious? Are you trying to imply that Andrew got those roles because he's friends with Rob? How obsurd. He was lucky enough to get these roles, just like Rob was lucky enough to get Twilight. They're called Breakout roles.
