"We Have Wrapped Jacob" - Filming Ends On 'Water For Elephants'

Director Francis Lawrence (@Hibbits) delivered the bittersweet news Tuesday night. After 2 1/2 months of hard work, principal production has ended on Water For Elephants. Earlier in the day he described the last scenes Rob had to shoot:
Last day... Jacob jumping the train for the first time
With high humidity and temperatures in the 90s, it probably felt like a sauna out there..

A little later, Lawrence talked to a local TV station about his experience while filming in TN & GA.

PSA: you know our policy on NOT tweeting locations?.. now you know why.

Lawrence later tweeted that rain was causing problems on set, and finally.. the dreaded words:

Rain... Feels great in the heat... But it's not so good for the shot.

(Fan who took photo said this was the last picture of Rob walking off the set).

This is him leaving the set and waving to fans. So Nice Rob :)

While earlier we had no words but deep thanks for Francis Lawrence for sharing with us his experience while directing this film, now we do: Oscar! Oscar! Oscar!

Congratulations Rob.

Sincerely, your personal cheering team.

  1. Thank you for all the postings.
Does that mean filming comes to a complete end now? No more indoors shots for Rob?
