TwiWrap: Cast Tweets + Latest News Out Of Baton Rouge

It's been a busy last few weeks in tweets for the Breaking Dawn cast.

We start off with the actors who are portraying Liam and Siobhan as part of the Irish Coven in the film. Both have had a chance to work with Rob. And today both had really nice things to say about him.

Earlier in the week we also got a peek at Edward and his wedding ring, courtesy of a devoted fan. And severe weather caused concern for the cast and crew

We also heard from some of the other cast members, who are loving their jobs and talking about it..

While the humans came and went from Baton Rouge, it appears the wedding scene has yet to be filmed if you are to believe Lainey Gossip:

"The schedules have been fluid but they’re supposed to be shooting wedding prep and imprinting scenes this week, Thursday and Friday specifically. Not the ACTUAL wedding. But the preparation for it"

The cast will arrive in Vancouver later this month, and it appears Bella's house is ready to go!

There are now also several Renesmees to keep track of .  And in case there's any doubt on how hard the entire cast is working down in Louisiana, Guri Weinberg who plays Stefan in the film.. gave fans an update and something to look forward to.

Bring on November!

'Breaking Dawn' Takes Holiday Break - More Casting On The Way!

As Breaking Dawn takes a break for the holidays, there's word that more casting will happen once production moves to Vancouver at the end of February. You can read all about it on the blog put out by Alan Baltes.

We also got some updates from the cast in Baton Rouge this week.

As for the wolves, they hadn't seen their scripts until likely this week. Alex Meraz seemed to confirm it.

And Chaske Spencer talked about the security surrounding the scripts:

"What they do is they'll wait because scripts have been leaked. Not 'Breaking Dawn' but in the past. Then you get it and it's like security guards and helicopters. You know, handcuff it to your wrist"
Chaske also mentioned how it is working with the rest of the cast:
The experience I've had with the cast is everyone's down to earth. That's what I like. I've been on some films where people aren't very down to earth... I think very highly of [Kristen] and Taylor and Rob. They're handling it very well."
Hope everyone enjoys their holiday break. :)

'Breaking Dawn' Production Update: Baton Rouge A Busy Place This Week

While production on Breaking Dawn has been moving along since last month, this week seemed to be a particularly busy one for cast and crew. Thanks to tweets and media updates, here's a wrap of what went down.

Since Rob and Kristen were in Brazil, we hadn't seen any production pictures until this week. Photogs caught up with the Volturi in New Orleans. You can see the rest at PopSugar.

We also got an update from Lainey Gossip about the production schedule:

This week they’ve been shooting scenes at the Cullen home as Bella is very, very ill.

Today they’re back on set for a scene from Breaking Dawn Part 2, a vampire bonfire and sharing war stories. Next week they work 3 days in the field with the Cullens and the bad vampires. Then beginning December 23, they’re off for the holiday break. They continue to shoot the battle for a week when production resumes in January.
She was on the money, as tweets from the cast confirmed:

And we even got a peek at what the cast munches on, courtesy of Scene Magazine

Some of the cast was out and about this weekend promoting the Eclipse DVD at signings across the country. While Rob and Kristen did not attend any of them, fans in Baton Rouge did get autographed posters from them.

Oh, and we did get to see Rob this week. In a heart-melting shot with a baby. Phew.. think that's all the big stuff. Let's see what next week brings!

Rob Makes An Appearance At 'Battleship' Wrap Party In Baton Rouge

The guy in charge of operations at the studio where Breaking Dawn is being filmed, tweeted that he saw him last night at the Battleship shindig. That's really not surprising since he knows the film's director Peter Berg, and even ended up in his video last month.

'Breaking Dawn' News Wrap: Facts, Rumors, And New Cast Member!

As the start of Breaking Dawn production gets close, we're getting more filming and casting news.

Today Rami Malek who is best known for his role as an Egyptian pharaoh in "Night at the Museum,"
became the first confirmed new cast member to join the Breaking Dawn family. Malek broke the news while talking to Entertainment Tonight.

Malek will appear in the second film as Benjamin, the Egyptian vampire who can control the four elements.
Malek told ET that he was thrilled about his upcoming role in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2." "I think it's going to be great," said Malek. "It's going to be super exciting and I'm thrilled," Malek said of joining the superstar cast that includes Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

And he might very well take part in that "big battle scene" everyone including Melissa Rosenberg is talking about. If you've read the book, you know there is *spoiler alert* no battle in the battle scene. But according to dailyblam.com which claims to have inside production info, that will all change for the film version. In fact, there will allegedly be plenty of action:
The scene will be the final confrontation between the Cullen clan, who are joined by the Quileute wolf pack and their friends, and the Volturi. The scene, most of which is taken directly from the novel, has been extended to include several physical fights. It is expected that many Twilight fans will be flocking to Louisiana when the studio begins filming in the area; which is why the exact area the production team has decided on is being kept tightly under wrap.
Dailyblam.com claims the battle scene will be filmed at a location near Baton Rouge. And according to local TV station WBRZ, there is plenty of buzz around town ahead of the start of production this fall:
"Each production is like a small army, so you're having to feed a small army, you're having to house them, you're having to entertain them," said Mulhearn.

In the case of "Twilight," Baton Rouge will also benefit from the twi-hards.

"What you'll see is much like what 'Steel Magnolias' did for Natchitoches," said Stelly. "People go to Natchitoches to this day to see the house in 'Steel Magnolias.'"
In the meantime, Production Weekly just announced that Breaking Dawn production offices are up and running as well in Vancouver. We'll share updates as we get them!
