'Cosmopolis' Exclusive Promo Pics: Rob Suits Up In Gucci!

We have a very special treat for you this Friday!

As we look ahead to the U.S. release of Cosmopolis August 17, we're proud to debut these exclusive images of Rob wearing the Gucci suit from the film.

 

Unfolding in a single cataclysmic day, the story follows Eric Packer (Robert Pattinson) – a 28-year old financial whiz kid and billionaire asset manager – as he heads out in his tricked-out stretch limo to get a haircut from his father’s old barber, while remotely wagering his company’s massive fortune on a bet against the Chinese Yuan. Packer’s luxe trip across the city quickly becomes dizzyingly hellish as he encounters explosive city riots, a parade of provocative visitors, and is thrust into a myriad of intimate encounters. Having started the day with everything, believing he is the future, Packer’s perfectly ordered, doubt-free world is about to implode.

Style Watch: The Clothes Getting All The Attention

Whatever Rob wears, we're always interested.. that's why it's nice to see the whole world also paying attention. The girls over at Pattinson Post shared an article on Vanity Fair (October issue) talking about those "killer red chinos" we looove since Rob wore them on the Cosmopolis set.

We already know Rob loves to wear Gucci, and as it turns out, Gucci showed some love to Rob with its latest collection:

Frida Giannini, creative director for the brand, says she was thinking of the posh world of Savile Row during the 1960s as epitomized by actor Michael Caine, even in his roguish "Alfie" moments, or today's Robert Pattinson, the 24-year-old British heartthrob of the "Twilight" saga.

Oh, and Giannini didn't stop there. She also made Brando sized comparisons when she talked to GQ (at around 4:20).

"For example between the upcoming actors, I have to say that Robert Pattinson I'm sure is going to have a brilliant career."

Justin Timberlake Diggin' Rob's Style

Justin Timberlake talked to Playboy recently, and guess whose name came up?

PLAYBOY: You’ve also influenced people with your fashion choices, including your clothing line, William Rast. You wear a certain hat or sneaker and suddenly everyone’s wearing it. Does that ever feel weird?

TIMBERLAKE: I don’t think about my influence on stuff like that too much. I see a lot of young guys dressing more like I should have been dressing when I was their age. Robert Pattinson dresses properly. He’s more adept than I was. But I don’t know. I don’t think there’s been one specific person other than Sinatra who has influenced my style.

Yeap, you read it. Even Timberlake thinks Rob is THE man. And coming from the person who put on the best history of rap medley evah (with the help of Jimmy Fallon), we'd say that's a pretty nice compliment.
