It's Looking More Like A December 'Bel Ami' Release! But What Year?

UPDATE (8/6): Protagonist Pictures tells Bel Ami Film that "The ETA on Total Film is purely speculative at this stage." Read the rest of the response regarding U.S. distribution. We also found out through  Independent Films, that the Dutch release date is February 17, 2011.

At first glance, this article in Total Film Magazine seems to imply that Bel Ami will open in theaters in December of 2011. But not so fast..

In this short interview with Holliday Grainger who co-stars with Rob in Bel Ami, the copy at the bottom right corner says the movie will open in December. At this point we are gonna say this year. We just have to wait for official confirmation now. Grainger talks a bit about working with Rob, and why she's glad she already knew him before taking this role.

You romance Robert Pattinson in 'Bel Ami' - how was that?

"I'm glad i had worked with him before [on 'The Bad Mothers Handbook'] because he was just Robert, he hasn't changed, had I not, I'd have felt a bit intimidated. There were hundreds of screaming girls everywhere. Even at 5 o'clock in the morning.
