"Poor Guy Has To Stay In His Trailer The Whole Time"

Cosmopolis costume designer Denise Cronenberg talked about working with Rob in her interview with The Genteel:

Paul Aguirre-Livingston: You must get asked a lot about working with a certain teen heartthrob on the upcoming Cosmopolis.

Denise Cronenberg: Oh, Rob? Poor guy had to stay in his trailer the whole time. That's not what I call fun. But he's a dream to work with. What a terrific kid.

So nice to hear everyone loves Rob :)

Emma Watson "Grateful" She's Not Rob

Emma Watson has enjoyed international fame thanks to the Harry Potter series, but she says it's nothing like what Rob has had to deal with. And that brings her relief:

“I can’t even imagine what that kind of fame must be like. So many people must wish they were in his position and think that he has the best life, but actually… there are prices you pay. Don’t interpret that from my perspective; it’s not so bad for me. I’m not in Rob’s position, I don’t have people screaming and crying and clawing at me. I’m so grateful for that”

Anna Kendrick On Rob's Fame: "It's Like A Prison"

As Breaking Dawn Part 1 gets closer to its November release, we're hearing A LOT about it from all of its stars. We're working on a wrap for you with all the recent quotes, but in the meantime here's what Anna Kendrick told Entertainment Weekly about Rob and Kristen's fame:

“I feel really, really, genuinely fortunate not to have to deal with that right now,” she admits. “It’s like a prison. It’s a really nice prison, but so what? You still can’t leave your home. I feel happy that that’s not my reality right now.”

For the rest of what she had to say including some Breaking Dawn talk, head on over to EW.

But the highlight of the Anna interviews BY FAR, has been Joshua Horowitz and his Robsession questions about Rob.. we love fanboys ;)

Rob & His Fame: Director & Costar Share Their Take

It's no secret that Rob can't go anywhere these days without being recognized. But director David Cronenberg says that's not why he approached him for Cosmopolis:

"Actually the fame was a detriment," Cronenberg told us. "I mean, it's good for financing - but it's not necessarily good when you're on the street and there are a lot of Twihards around. But I think people will be really surprised, I mean, I think he's a terrific actor and that's why I went after him."

Rob's Breaking Dawn costar Anna Kendrick also recently shared her thoughts on Rob, specifically how he handles the fame:

I have no idea how they stay sane with all that kind of attention. I know, knock wood, I’ve been able to avoid that kind of thing. I’m just in awe of their ability to handle that stuff.

Anna also talks a bit about filming Breaking Dawn. You can read it all at iVillage.

We Love Edward, But Hope Michael Sheen Is Wrong

Hollywood Life caught up with Michael Sheen in New York, and when they asked him about Rob, what he said frankly bothered us a little:

“I think Robert has been very clever in the way that he has tried to branch out and do lots of other different things,” Michael says. “Rob has been trying to do that while he’s been doing the Twilight series and all but I think it’s going to take a long time. I think he’ll always be Edward [Cullen] for a whole generation or maybe a few generations of people and it will be difficult to get away from that. But he seems to have a good head on his shoulders.”

Difficult to get away from that?.. we certainly hope not. Don't get us wrong we love Edward, but we hope Rob is able to be seen as more than the "sparkly vampire" simply because he's much more than that.

Michael Fassbender: It's Nice Not Being Rob

Michael Fassbender recently talked with The Times (UK) about fame, and Rob came up in the conversation:

So how does it feel to be on the launch pad of global fame? So far he has managed to protect his below-the-radar life. Working with Brad Pitt, he witnessed the downside: “A young female fanbase is the toughest to slip and slide away from,” he says. “I don’t suppose Robert Pattinson could just stroll down to Tesco without getting mobbed. It is nice to be able to go out and continue to observe people, a luxury as an actor".

Is Xavier Samuel Ready For Twilight-Level Fame? (Rob Mention)

Elle magazine recently interviewed Xavier Samuel, who plays Riley in the next installment of the Twilight Saga: Eclipse. He had this to say when asked if he's ready for Twilight-level fame:

“I haven’t quite got my hands on any brochure that says, ‘In the event that you become insanely famous, what do you do?’ But I think I can take a leaf from Rob and Kristen’s book. They’ve done a good job keeping their wits in the whirlwind of it all but also letting it get them where they want to be future-role-wise.”

I got a chance to meet & chat with Xavier, while he was filming Eclipse in Vancouver. He seems like a pretty down-to-earth guy. Sure he'll handle fame just fine.

Love Ya.. Wouldn't Want To Be Ya!

Two of Rob's co-stars in two big franchises have mentioned the allure of being Rob, while at the same time saying it's not for them:

Rupert Grint, who worked with Rob in 'Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire' had this to say in an interview with The Independent:

Another reason he's arguably grateful for his red hair is that it hasn't quite turned him into a teen sensation. While his face doubtless adorns many a teenage girl's wall, he doesn't really suffer from the hysteria that greets Twilight star Robert Pattinson – just two years older than Grint – wherever he goes.

"I get recognised occasionally but nothing like that," he says. "It's crazy. You just can't really go anywhere. I've got a much more manageable existence. Must be pretty..." He stops for a second, imagining such an intrusion into his life. "It's just come from nowhere [for him]. It's such a quick thing. Good luck to him."

Over in the 'Twilight' world, Alex Meraz just mentioned Rob while talking to an Australian newspaper:

But despite the fansites, wiki-entries, hype and teen-screamers, Meraz is more than happy to leave the hysteria frontline action to Twilight's pasty Brit heart throb Robert Pattinson, who plays the 104-year-old Edward Cullen.

"Rob's much better at it than I am," says Meraz. "While it's all very flattering, it's not something that I'd like to experience every day."
