Rob's Waxy Double Gets Some Action

Here it is. A first look at Rob's wax figure at Madame Tussauds in New York. Whether you think it's spot-on or way off, it represents the only chance many will have to get close to their idol.

So exactly how close can you get to wax Rob?.. well according to the museum's web site, fans who show up for the big unveil Thursday in New York and London, will have to keep things G-rated:

"They can even give him a kiss on the cheek which will be a big hit with his female followers!"

Right. If however that isn't enough for you, take a cue from some fans, who let's just say.. went way beyond second base:

Yeap that J-Lo's butt alright..

That may or may not be Mel Gibson.. but that's definitely a crotch grab.

And here's Britney putting on a peep show.. for both a fan, and grandma.

Jenna Jameson: that guy's face says it all.

Of course, Monica had to make an appearance.

Psst, Usher.. that woman has her hand down your pants.

And finally, mocking Spock!

We know Rob, if we were you we'd be horrified too. Just think.. better the wax figure than you. And be glad you're not Jennifer Aniston. What did they do to you Rachel?!

"You Belong With Me Edward Cullen" - Behind The Scenes

Dozens of 'Twilight' related fan-made videos hit YouTube daily. Most, are your run-of-the-mill "hot Edward pictures" "Bella & Edward forever" kind. But once in a while, a fan video comes along that really captures the passionate nature of fans of the series.

Such is the case with April's video: "You Belong With Me -Edward Cullen."

We were so taken by this fan-made video, that we decided to find out a little bit more about it by going to the source:

How did you come up with the idea to make this video, and how long did it take you to put it together (edit, such)?

April: "Anything 'Twilight' related was all over my room, so I decided to film something that would show that. It took me just one day to film, and about an hour-and-a-half to edit everything and post it on YouTube."

It looks like you had a partner in crime, filming some of the scenes. Can you tell us who that was, other than obviously cut-out Edward Cullen?

April: "My friend Khrisha came over to hang out and I was like "I'm making a funny music video wanna film me walking with Edward down the street?" Everything else was on a tripod. Khrisha only had the camera when I was walking down the street with my EdwarD Cullen cut-out."

Does your room really look like that?, and exactly how many posters of Rob are in there?

April: "Yes, my room looks exactly like that. Except more posters now. I started putting some up on the ceiling. Every wall is covered with a 'Twilight' related poster. I don't know exactly how many Rob posters I have. I seriously tried to count them, lost track at 2-hundred something."

What do your friends and family think about the video, and your dedication to all things 'Twilight?'

April: "My family doesn't really know I'm a HUGE 'Twilight' fan (RPN: really?!?). Only some cousins know. My friends are speechless and can't believe that's what's in my room. People talk about my video at my school."

What has been the feedback on YouTube to your video?

April: "I've been getting good comments, also many messages from different countries about what's in my room. Especially all the Twifans out there."

What is it about Edward that brings out this creative streak in you?

April: "Well, I've just been doing parody videos before twilight was big. It's just a hobby and since I know most people know about Twilight and the cast members, I decided to do a parody for it. I'm Team Edward so I had to make Edward Cullen the star. The song "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift was just perfect for my video because I'm saying I want to be with Edward and Bella shouldn't be with him. But I don't hate Bella. I like her. For twifans, their dreams are to be with someone like Edward or Jacob" (RPN: Edward.. it's always been Edward).

April's parodies also include "I kissed a Vampire" and "This is my Twilight Song."

Thanks for being such a good sport and answering our questions April!

'Remember Me': The Power Of The Fans

After months of waiting the day is finally here! - a big step in Rob's career, as 'Remember Me' opens nationwide. And the big question being asked in Hollywood, was set forth by Yahoo buzz's Michael Krumboltz: "Can he [Rob] carry a movie that doesn't feature bloodsucking studs? "Remember Me" is his chance."

Reviews have been mixed so far, with 'Remember Me' tracking in the 30% range on the Rotten Tomatoes site, (which is measured by reviews and changes as more come in).

But as most twilighters know, reviews mean little, when fans throw their support behind a film or series. And this is where you come in, as writer Will Fetters reminded us last weekend on his twitter page:

"alice is gonna open at 100M plus, it's a monster. we need all the help we can get next weekend so friends, family, pets - bring em out!"

That still remains the case this weekend. Entertainment Weekly's projections, put 'Remember Me' at number #3 - with an estimated take of $10 million dollars. I particularly liked the challenge they posed to fans:

"Even the online Twitter and Facebook movements created by tween girls to support Edward Cullen this weekend are not going to do much to pull in the box office cash."

While the article goes on to say $10 million is what Summit was expecting, I say let's beat the expectations. Let's show Hollywood that Rob can definitely, and without a doubt, open a movie other than 'Twilight'.. and big. Let's be there for Rob, because like he himself admits in an interview with Parade Magazine, it's all about the box office numbers:

"It's like a kind of a monster thing. The more people think they know you, the more you're identified with a certain kind of role. People always used to ask me about typecasting and I never had to really worry about it. You think people will judge you by your work. But the truth is, it's about whether the film you're in makes money or not. And if it's not making money, they're like, 'Oh, he's over."

And as fans know.. he's far from over. So let's do this! Show up for 'Remember Me' today, tomorrow, and as many times as you can. Let Rob know we're there for him when it counts.

Here's a list of 'Remember Me' reviews. My favorite still remains Newsweek's. It does contain heavy spoilers (as well as most of the other ones), but really brings perspective to the debate over the movie's content.

RobPattzNews Review: 'Remember Me'

*'Remember Me' Poster in NYC Subway Station*

From its powerful beginning to its surprise ending, 'Remember Me' is one of those movies that connects with you in a very real way based on your life experiences. In this case, it's sure to reach out to many.

*'Remember Me' billboard in Times Square*

Please be aware the following review contains spoilers you may not want to know about. Stop reading now, if you don't want to be spoiled.

I was lucky enough to see 'Remember Me' on premiere night in New York City. It was without a doubt the highlight of my trip, since for me at least.. the city fully embodies 'Remember Me'.

We had to check in our cameras and cell phones before going into the theater. Once the lights went down - cheers erupted as the movie began.

The love story of Tyler (Rob) and Ally (Emilie de Ravin), develops as we learn about their backgrounds and who and where they are because of them.

Rob really captures the role of Tyler, the troubled young man who has a strained relationship with his dad (Pierce Brosnan). I don't know about you, but I've been there. It felt real enough to me. Very relatable. Very raw.

There is one particular scene at Tyler's Dad's office where things come to a head between them, and then.. funny moments. Funny relieving the tension. Funny when you least expect it.

And that to me is what makes this film stand out. The range of emotions that you experience as an audience member. And yes (for those of you asking), there are some very hot scenes between
Tyler and Ally, but even those sex-driven moments come about in the middle of other strong emotions that you don't necessarily expect.

There are also the not so palpable things, like the well chosen score & soundtrack that sets the mood in each scene, and the little clues that pop up, preparing you for what's coming.

Eventhough Lena Olin (Tyler's Mom) does not appear much in the film, her scenes with Rob, feel very genuine. But it's the relationship between Tyler and his younger sister Caroline (well played by Ruby Jerins) that takes center stage. As he picks her up from school and has daily chats with her in the park, you can really see the tight bond they share.

*Alice In Wonderland - Central Park*

Chris Cooper's performance is also a strong one. He plays a dad worried about nothing more, than keeping his only daughter safe. So I guess what's appealing about all of these characters, is that they could be you or me.

In the end.. they are.

'Remember Me' was definitely the best I've seen of Rob. But more than anything, for me 'Remember Me' is about New York. And the everyday lives changed forever on a sunny September morning in 2001.
