Robert Pattinson in 'El Escolar' Magazine (Uruguay)

@sammiebiscomb shared with us the pictures and translation of 'El Escolar' magazine issue with Rob. We've heard most quotes in interview, but thanks for translating Samantha so everyone can read it!

Robert Pattinson
“When I saw Taylor, I said, now I have to go to the gym.”
In “New Moon” the second installment of the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer, the romance between a mortal and a vampire reaches a new intense and dangerous level, and it reveals a conflict that will haunt Bella while the story continues. Now, the movie is on DVD around the world, and the “Twilight Mania” continues. As the vampire who has millions of girls melting at his sight around the world, Robert Pattinson, has been working non-stop since the first movie “Twilight.” At the press conference of “New Moon” in Hollywood, Robert spoke about stuff with journalists.

Q: Which characteristics do you have in common with your character Edward?
A: I SUPPOSE THAT THE STUBBORNESS, IN SOME THINGS. I AM QUITE OBSESSIVE WITH THE THINGS AND POSSESIVE TOO.

Q: Are you a romantic person in real life? What was the most romantic thing that you’ve done?
A: I HAVEN’T DONE MANY ROMANTIC STUFF IN MY LIFE!

Q: “Twilight” has made you one of the most famous actors in the world. How did this change your career?
A: I’M STILL A LITTLE BLIND. PEOPLE OFFER YOU JOBS THAT YOU NEVER DREAMED OF BEING OFFERED BEFORE, BUT IT’S SCARY TOO BECAUSE YOU DON’T HAVE TO AUDITION FOR ANYTHING. IT’S A SITUATION WHERE IT’S SCARY TO BE IN, IN MANY WAYS.

Q: With all the encounters with fans that you have had, has anyone of them had something that made you laugh?
A: YEAH, MOST OF THE TIME. I ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING FUNNY WHEN OLDER PEOPLE COME. THERE WAS THIS WOMAN WHO CAME TOWARDS ME THE OTHER DAY, AND SHE WAS ABOUT NINETY YEARS OLD. AND SHE SAID THE EXACT SAME THINGS 12 YEAR OLDS TELL ME. IT’S PRETTY COOL.

Q: Do you value Edward much more in every movie?
A: WHEN I READ “NEW MOON”, I HAD IDEAS ABOUT HOW TO INTERPRET HIM IN THE FIRST MOVIE. IT’S THE SAME IDEA IN WHICH I CONNECT, AND FOR ME HUMANIZES EDWARD TOO. IN THE FIRST ONE IT STILL STANDS, FROM BEGINNING TO END, LIKE AND IDEAL CHARACTER. BUT, IN THE SECOND ONE, HE MAKES A MISTAKE WHICH IS RECOGNIZED BY EVERYONE, INCLUDING HIMSELF. SINCE I READ THE BOOK I ALWAYS LIKED HIM AS A CHARACTER, AND I’VE BEEN TRYING TO INTERPRET THE SAME FEELING SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE MOVIES.

Q: If there was a fight between Edward and Jacob, who would win?
A: I DON’T KNOW. I THINK THAT THERE’S THE FACT THAT EDWARD WOULD WIN, THAT IS IF I READ THE BOOK CORRECTLY. SO, I THINK I COULD HOLD ON TO THAT BECAUSE OF MY EGO.

Q: And if it was a fight between you and Taylor Lautner?
A: I HEARD THE OTHER DAY THAT TAYLOR HAD ACCEPTED A FIGHT WHERE THE JOURNALIST WAS GOING TO FIGHT WITH HIM. I WOULD HAVE NEVER ACCEPTED TO DO THAT. AND AFTER SEEING TAYLOR’S VIDEOS PRACTICING MARTIAL ARTS FROM WHEN HE WAS NINE YEARS OLD, I WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING, REALLY.

Q: How was Taylor’s physical transformation?
A: I DIDN’T SEE TAYLOR UNTIL JUST BEFORE STARTING TO SHOOT “NEW MOON”, AND WHEN HE CAME BACK, I HAD THE SAME REACTION AS EVERYBODY ELSE. I WAS LIKE, “MMMM…. NOW I HAVE TO GO TO THE GYM.”

“ECLIPSE” PREVIEW
In the third installment of “Twilight” the plot gets more passionate and we now see Bella faced to new dangers. In the middle of this, she is forced to choose between her relationship with Edward Cullen and her friendship with Jacob Black, knowing that her decision has the potential to start a new fight between vampires and werewolves. Besides, she is about to graduate and she is faced with her most important decision in her life. All of this is just a part of what you will see in “Eclipse”, on June 30.

'Bel Ami' Fan Pictures & Account

@Thea1992 was at the 'Bel Ami' set earlier this week. She shared her account and pictures she took that day:

So here is my little report on the Bel Ami set on the 6th April.
My cousin, sister and I got there about 11am. There were only a few people there 50-80 and you could watch from both sites of the borderlines. After standing at one site for 10 Minutes and asking everyone if he was already there, my cousin decided to take us to the other site of the Set. So we had to walk all around the Basilica to get there. However we soon found out that less people were watching from there and we had a perfect view. When Robert came my cousin took me into his neck, so i was the highest person and i could take some pictures. Unfortunately he got tired really soon so i decided to climb at the stone fence of the basilica, because it was for certain that with my 1,60m i wouldn't see much of Robert if i stayed on the ground.Everyone was really nice and they even helped me climb the stone fence. Rob came and got into the black carriage. He was in there for a few minutes and jumped out again, went to his trailer and came back. There was also another carriage with two white horses and another actress was sitting in there. However Rob came back and got his hair done quickly. After that they started to shoot the scene where the horse carrige arrives at the steps and a woman climbs out of the carriage and runs up to the door. Then you could see Rob getting out of his black carriage and open a umbrella while running after the woman. And as you read he opened an umbrella, which means it was a rainy scene and, well, we all got wet! Not that it wasn't raining already that day but it seems like they nedded more. However that's when i got the second shower of the day. They repeated the scene three times. And as far as i remember after the second time Rob went up to a man, who i guess was the director, and talked to him. Then the clock of the Basilica started to ring and they had to stop filming. It was already 12 o'clock and Rob went to his trailer. Then they shot another scene without Rob. It was basically just some people walking infront of the steps. We waited for a half hour for Rob to come back but he didn't so i decided to leave and let someone else take my place on the fence. LOL All in all it was a very interesting day and from what i could see, Rob looked really handsome in his old fashioned clothes. I also have to mention that i have never met nicer Fans than there. We chatted and laughed quite a lot, and there was absolutely no rivalry and no one pushed. :)

Thanks for sharing Thea!

HQ Scans/Translation - Robert Pattinson Special

Our lovely follower @LauraDijkman, picked up this booklet at a Dutch cinema when she went to see 'Remember Me' this week. She shared scans and translated highlights of the articles inside. (the answers and info seem familiar, bits and pieces of other interviews so don't take it word by word please) Thank you Laura!

Interview RP special, page 2.
From child to star.
Robert Thomas Pattinson was born on May 13 1986 in London and was, from a young age,
a headstrong and curious little guy.
His elder sisters Lizzie and Victoria were secretly bummed that they didn't get a baby sister,
it didn't stop them from using little Rob as a dress-up doll.
"Until I was 12 I was walking around like a barbie doll and my sisters told everyone my
name was Claudia", tells the actor.
He wasn't popular in school at that time, his popularity came at the age of 14. "I went to a
new school, put some gel in my hair and from one day to the other girls noticed me".
Not just the girls discovered his looks, modeling agencies also liked the tall guy with the
androgynous look.
This career did not last long though, because the intelligent Pattinson soon got bored
between the shallow models and decided to join a theater company. "Or more my dad
decided this, because I was kind of shy. He stepped up to a few pretty girls we ran into in a
restaurant and asked: "where are you from". They said: "from the drama club", on which
my father said: "Rob, you have to go there, this is really something for you".
His first big play was an instant success, because he was discovered by an agent who
arranged a a part for him in Vanity Fair (with Reese Witherspoon) and after that the Harry
Potter movies. However, Rob's big breakthrough came when he was cast as the vampire
Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga.
"I was actually afraid to end up in another teenage movie, but then I met Kristen Stewart at
the audition, the actress on whom I had a bit of a crush in my teens because she's so
talented. The moment I heard she would play the female lead instead of a bimbo, I
knew it would all work out fine".
Rob was right, because Twilight and the sequel New Moon were a huge cinema success, and
his appearance immediately caused hysterical scenes comparable to Leonardo DiCaprio in
Titanic. Something by the way the actor was not waiting for at all. "If I had known that this
movie would bring so much crazyness, I don't know if I would have said "yes" to the
Twilight Saga. I never asked to be a posterboy".
With deeper roles in movies such as Remember Me and Bel Ami Robert hopes to movie his
career in a more serious direction. "I can only hope for a resume like Leonardo DiCaprio. My
wish: an Oscar before I'm 30 years old. But I still have a long way to go ...".

5 questions to Robert Pattinson, page 5.

1. How does it feel to be Hollywood's most wanted actor?
Strange. Scary. Shocking. And also a bit overwhelming to be honest. At this moment it is too
much, everywhere I go, girls are screaming or fainting. I don't understand why, because I
am a normal guy who is not at all doing his best to be noticed. And really; I'm not as sexy
as Brad Pitt?

2. What is the most bizarre thing you've encountered with a fan?
On the set of Twilight one of our errand-guys put a baby in my arms and asked if I could
pose. The mother had given the child along with him, while she was standing at the gates a
kilometer away. I thought that was pretty sick; you don't give your baby to a stranger just
to score a photo of your idol?

3. Do you never behave as the big superstar who trashes hotel rooms and demands strange things?
Oh yes I love throwing things around in my hotel room haha. No, seriously, I think I've stayed
pretty normal, I am much to down to earth to make crazy demands. Well, except for a
private chauffeur, but that is only because I am a disaster on the road and others even
forbid me to drive.

4. What is true about the story that you and your New Moon co-star Kristen Stewart are an item? Kristen and I have a special bond together, she is the sweetest, smartest and strongest girl I know. If we have a relationship I would rather not say, because my words get twisted around too much and can be "old news" by the time this interview is printed. I've been linked to a lot of actresses in Hollywood, most of them I find too silly and shallow that I would not want to date them.

5. Is it easy to go on a date now that you're famous?
Easy? On the contrary, girls have such high expectations of me that I don't even dare to
date out of fear of embarassing myself.
I can never live up to the image that the media have created, I am not that "hunk". Besides
that there is always the fear that women only want to date me because I'm famous, and
with a little bad luck they will go straight to the gossip press afterwards.

*Test on page 6.

Robert Pattinson's 3-D Transformation

With all the speculation going on about whether 'Breaking Dawn' will get the 3-D treatment, we were intrigued when we caught artist @d_blair's post about Rob Monday:

"Modeling Robert Pattinson getting agged.... Spending too much time re-topologizing the face because his features are hard to nail down."

We asked him if he could say what the project was about and share a preview. Desmond got back to us today, with these great pictures of the Robert Pattinson 3-D transformation he's working on as part of his personal Demo reel.

So here we couldn't help thinking of Leo in 'The Man in the Iron Mask'..

Anyway, we hope to get a glimpse of the final product, and get a bit of more insight from @d_blair on how he accomplished it. We'll keep you posted!

Old/New Videos of Rob w/Fans at LA 'NM' Premiere

Consider this, the "better late than never" week at RobPattzNews. With so much going on daily in the world of Rob news, we hadn't been able to share (up until now) our videos and pictures from the 'New Moon' premiere in LA and New York, plus 'Remember Me' coverage from New York. No more procrastinating. Here's our first two little clip from the Los Angeles premiere of 'New Moon' - *Ear plugs suggested.* Video was right before he went in for THE interview with Ryan Seacrest and a little clip afterward. Fun stuff (screaming) starts at around 1:10. Oh.. and watch for the lucky girls that get a hug from him on the red carpet.

And here's the short clip of him leaving Ryan's booth.. after interview was.. ehh.. cut short.

We'll be posting the rest of our "better late than never" coverage throughout the week!

Rob not attending Paris premiere of 'Remember Me'

Earlier this week, word began spreading on twitter that Rob and Emilie would be attending the Paris premiere of 'Remember Me' April 6. The rumors began when French online movie site Allocine, posted a contest to win tickets to the premiere Tuesday.

Now our follower @Moonmela has received confirmation that indeed Rob will not be attending the Paris premiere. Melanie emailed the film's distributor (SND).

She translated their reply for us:

"Unluckily, nor Robert Pattison or Emilie de Ravin will be able to attend the RM Premiere in Paris on April 6th for planning reasons"

By planning, they likely mean scheduling conflicts. As we know from the daily news out of Budapest, Rob is busy wrapping up 'Bel Ami' in that country, while Emilie is working on the last season of 'Lost'.

We look forward to hearing what French fans thought of 'Remember Me' when it opens in theaters next week.
Thanks to @evenusia for sharing her pic from the Paris Metro.
