Academy Awards: MTV's Red Carpet Live Coverage + Twilight Skit Details!

UPDATE/ Ryan Seacrest just announced a new bit of information regarding the Twilight surprise during the Oscars:

"Just talked to one of the Oscar producers, that rumor that we've been hearing about.. I just confirmed a huge Twilight musical moment on tonight's show. They say it's act seven, so I think that's about halfway through the show. If you're a Twilight fan, you'll want to see that in the actual Oscar telecast".

Ryan added he's 'Team Wolf' btw..

Next announcement: (have I said how annoying it is to release these randomly on the web?).. New Moon up for Best Movie! Marc Malkin got to break the news:

"Twilight Saga: New Moon is up for Best Movie. And while we're sure our fave vampire sequel has the support to win, it's got stiff competition from the other nominees: Alice in Wonderland, Avatar, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and The Hangover. Voting for Best Movie actually stays live throughout the live awards show telecast on June 6 at MTV.com."

8:05 A.M. - MTV just posted its entire list of nominees! (They actually posted list at 8:00, but was busy keeping track of the Eclipse soundtrack artist list reveal) Congratulations Rob! You can start voting for him at 9AM PST
