MTV and Reprise Records Grammy® Award-winning rock band Green Day today announced the network will exclusively premiere the trio’s new music video for “The Forgotten,” the first music video from Summit Entertainment’s THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2 soundtrack that features footage from the film, on Tuesday, October 30 at 6:55 p.m. ET/PT on MTV and MTV.com. This is the band’s first contribution to a TWILIGHT soundtrack.

'Metric' Talks About Their Six Degrees Of Rob

Bobby Long Promotes 'Losing My Brotherhood' In L.A.

It's been a busy week, so forgive us for just now getting to this write-up. But we didn't want to pass up the opportunity to tell you about Bobby Long's latest project: A book of poetry called 'Losing My Brotherhood.' 


We got a chance to attend his reading and performance at the Barnes & Noble this week in LA. Bobby read and talked about the one poem the book is named after, saying it was inspired by the "group of friends" ;) he left behind, when he moved from London to New York City. 


He had a great turnout, and we felt lucky to be present as he poured his heart out in the poems he read to the crowd. We captured some of those moments for you, and included his last performance of the night and the funny story that preceded it. Until next time Bobby Long!

Bel Ami: Fan Encounter, Track List, Ricci Talks Rob

We've mentioned before how much we love your stories about meeting Rob. And here's the latest one. Estelle met him at the Berlin Film Festival and shared her story and pics. 

Christina Ricci did some press for Bel Ami recently, and she mentions Rob in this clip (at 1:20-1:45). She also talks about the film and her costars in this interview. 

The soundtrack for the film will be released on March 20, and today the Film Music Reporter gave us a first look at the cover (front and back) and track list. There's also a link for you to pre-order.

The Sunday Times: 'Bel Ami' Composer Shares All

The Sunday Times has an excellent interview with the man who created the music for Bel Ami. Composer Lakshman Joseph de Saram talks extensively about the process of writing the music that you will hear in the theater:


There are two visits to London, the first to meet the film’s two directors, Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod, to discuss “the tone” the music should take. The second visit is to attend the recording sessions of Joseph de Saram’s film score. The orchestra is assembled at Angel Studios and is composed of members of leading British orchestras. Both experiences – meeting the directors, meeting the musicians playing his music – are cruel tests of nerve. The completed, much revised, score is ready by December 2010.

Preview 'WFE' Soundtrack & More!

Cinema Musica gave fans a treat by releasing a preview of the Water for Elephants soundtrack. And to get you in the mood, we suggest you check out WFEFilm's awesome gallery of pictures while listening to it. The gallery includes tons of extras in costume and more. Plus don't miss their exclusive interview with director Francis Lawrence. The first two parts are out. Part One. Part Two.

You can pre-order the soundtrack on Amazon now. It will be released April 19th.




We've also gotten word that Chattanooga is going all out to celebrate its involvement in the filming of Water for Elephants. They've organized a big premiere on April 22nd:

A Red Carpet Reception will open the evening at 7:00 p.m. followed behind-the-scenes footage from the Chattanooga shoot and interviews with Executive Producer Kevin Halloran. The celebration will also include a Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon look-alike contest, movie ticket giveaways, movie poster giveaways, and more. A Black Tie VIP Meet and Greet will be held at Bluewater Grille (224 Broad Street, 37402) from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

No word on whether Rob or any other cast will be in attendance, but it sounds like a fun event. A film commission official did say, they are trying to get them there:

“The New York premiere is the week before, and we are hoping they will want to come here as well”

Confirmed: Rob Back Playing The Piano On 'Breaking Dawn' Part 2

Composer Carter Burwell today delivered the exciting news many of you had been waiting to hear. Rob will be back playing the piano as Edward in Breaking Dawn Part 2:

Just wrote "Renesmee's Lullaby" for Twilight Breaking Dawn. Rob Pattinson will play it on camera this week.

Burwell tweeted that update, and then confirmed the news on a post on his official site:

And he just wrote "Renesmee's Lullaby" for Twilight Breaking Dawn 2, which Rob Pattinson will play on camera. The film will be released in November 2012.

So not only will Rob play a (sure to melt-your-hearts) dad as Edward, but we also get to watch him play for little Renesmee?.. swoon x 1000!

Sneak Peek Into Movie Magic: Place Where 'WFE' Music Is Being Made

Musician Stuart M. Thomas, shared some pictures of the place where the score for Water for Elephants will be recorded. Dogtown Music is located in Santa Monica, CA. Thomas has also been tweeting updates, along with director Francis Lawrence.

In case you are wondering how long the process has been in the making..

We can't wait to hear the finished product, and how it complements the film on the big screen!

What's In A Song? When It Comes To 'Twilight'.. Everything!

Alexandra Patsavas has been in charge of putting together the Twilight soundtracks since the beginning, and this week she's sharing her experience and some very cool scoop with Much Music:

MM: When you’re listening to new artists do you constantly have the Twilight characters in mind? Are you always on autopilot in terms of searching for songs that will fit within the upcoming Breaking Dawn films?

AP: I think Music Supervisors always have the characters in mind. But of course, when you actually see footage, sometimes the footage turns out exactly as you imagined it and sometimes the songs, which seem like they will fit so well, actually don’t.

MM: Some films release second and third soundtracks of music ‘inspired’ by the film. Is this something you would ever consider exploring with Breaking Dawn 1 and 2? Have you ever thought about this for the previous Twilight films?


AP: I feel like it’s really important that the soundtracks include music that’s in the movies. The reason these soundtracks are souvenirs and are pieces of the movies is because fans can remember the scenes that the (songs are) actually in, instead of the scenes they might have been in. That’s important to me, personally.

Up-and-coming musician Christina Perri recently talked to PopEater about her music and her love for everything Twilight:

You're also a big 'Twilight' fan, right?



Yes. I am a full on Twihard. I read all the books in like a month, and I have the book covers framed on my walls. I wait in line at the box office to go see the movies to get a good seat. I pre-order the DVDs. I'm totally in love with Edward Cullen. I even wrote a song about him. I'm such a big dork.


Is that song going to be on your album?


It actually might be. I really am demoing it right now. It's hilarious.


Will you be trying to get on the 'Breaking Dawn' soundtrack?


That has been one of my dreams from day one, especially with signing with Atlantic and them being affiliated [with it]. Everybody on my whole team knows.
